Robert was born and raised on a farm near Nanton. He married young and raised four children at an early age. He worked roughnecking on an oil rig the and saved enough to go to the U of A for education at a History major. While there, he played football with the Golden Bears and was chosen All Canadian in 1963. Robert has authored three books since his retirement and is all too familiar with the many hurdles an aspiring writer faces in writing, publishing, promoting and selling ones’ book.
